Digital download promotions have been around for a while now, and they're widely used by large consumer companies like 7-Eleven, Coca Cola and McDonalds. They typically involve distribution of a branded gift card that can be redeemed online for items of value such as music, ringtones, movie tickets, etc.

I'm writing about them for two reasons today:

OMG!! This is the CUTEST soft-shell jacket for fall AND it's made of RECYCLED MATERIAL? Get out of town!

That was my reaction today when I came across this BRAND NEW jacket from our Port Authority 2009 apparel line. This has to be one of the best looking eco friendly jackets I've ever seen and I HAD to put it on my blog to show you right away.

This jacket's made from a fabric containing a blend of 63% recycled polyester and 32% recycled rayon. It's designed for warmth and to stand up to the elements. It has a 1000MM waterproof rating and is wind-resistant yet breathable. It includes a laminate film insert to repel water and rubber velcro closures on the sleeves. It features two zip pockets on the front, with a patch pocket on the left sleeve. It comes in Cypress Blue (shown), as well as Cobblestone (a dark tan color) and Black. A men's version is also available.

Best of all, it's made from post-consumer waste and fabric remnants that create a recycled polyester that's surprisingly soft. It lessens the need for oil, reduces waste and produces less pollution. Oh, and did I mention it's really, really cute?

These are priced at $69.98 (blank) with a minimum of 6 jackets... but you can mix the Mens and Ladies styles within that minimum. The ladies jacket comes in sizes XS-XXL, as well as Plus 1X & Plus 2X sizes. The men's is the same price, and comes in sizes ranging from XS-4XL.
